Aug. 11th, 2021 02:42 pmHiei has a few neat mind powers thanks to that third eye in the middle of his forehead, but they can get pretty godmode and might not work on everyone, so I'd appreciate it if everyone could answer a few questions.
1) Can Hiei read your mind? How deeply? Unlike some YYH telepaths, characters have worried about Hiei reading their minds to find out things they've done, although he probably won't do it unless you catch his interest.
2) Can Hiei remotely spy on you?
3) Can Hiei erase your memories? This will only be done at request or as part of a plot, so this is just for anyone who would be outright immune.
4) Can Hiei control your mind? In canon, this won't work on anyone with a strong will, and other psychics are likely immune as well.
He can also sense and identify spirit or demon energy, so please mention if your character is human, demon, or something completely different.

Date: 2011-08-11 07:19 pm (UTC)2. He could probably, again, for both my girls.
3. Possible, if the right plot comes up.
4. See #1.
And both my girls are baseline human, although Sarah Jane's got Arton Energy in her system, since she traveled in time and space. That might ping, or it might not, I don't know.

Date: 2011-08-11 07:50 pm (UTC)2) Yes, but if Hiei doesn't completely erase his presence, Hitsugaya will know he's being watched and Killua will get the feeling that someone's watching him.
3) Neither would be immune, though I wonder if Hyourinmaru would remember.
4) Hitsugaya and Killua have downright frightening wills, so probably not. Killua for sure is a no because canon says he got out of a similar situation through willpower.
Killua is human, but in recent canon, his nen has been depicted through symbolism as a giant snake coiled and ready to strike. He would feel human but dangerous.
And you know Hitsugaya is a shinigami, so he's kind of overflowing with spiritual energy. /thumbs up

Date: 2011-08-11 07:57 pm (UTC)And Killua would feel like a human psychic, while Hitsugaya would probably get the same sort of 'not a human or a demon WTF' as Grim Reapers like Botan.

So he'll be able to go past the surface thoughts and see what he's done at first. Black Ops missions, the cons with everyone else from Leverage, and the fact that he's probably using an alias.
2) Yes, but if he picks up signs that someone's around his behavior will probably change.
3) I'm good with this happening at request or during plots!
4) Think that someone that's survived some time over 8 years in a prison camp, being tortured for information yet never giving in to it would be considered a strong enough will? Eliot was put through training and some hellish experiences so at the very least he'd only have a short amount of time the first time around before it's broken.

Date: 2011-08-11 11:17 pm (UTC)2) Sure. Sango will throw a fit (TOO MANY STALKERS IN ADS) but yeah. feel free c:
3) ...I don't think either of them would be immune.
4) No for Sango (her will is strong enough that she literally clawed herself out of her own grave... yeah) but yes for Yui :3

Date: 2011-08-12 06:17 pm (UTC)1)she has her zapakutou in her mind. It looks like a giant stingray. It usually tells people who try to come where the way out is. It is territorial.
2) He can try, sure.
3) No.
4) No.
Vincent Valentine :
1)He has the entity Chaos in his mind. While Vincent might be susceptible to it, Chaos is not, and he's not afraid to show up and say so/
2) I'd say no. There are too many people/beasts in Vicnent's mind that are on alert 24/7.
3)No, for the same reason as above.
4) again, no.
Hyuuga Hinata :
1) Yes. However, ninja possess a way of kicking people out of their minds once they notice them. So he'd have to be sneaky.
2) Sure.
3) Sure, but to be discussed beforehand.
4) I don't see why not. Mind control is notoriously hard to breal in naruto canon and takes a lot of raw power/chakra which Hinata doesn't have.

Date: 2011-08-14 02:41 am (UTC)2) Yes.
3) Kagome would be very difficult to keep her memories suppressed (she's broken out of such a spell before), but Yuma would be fine.
4) Spiritual powers and strong will for Kagome, so probably not. Yuma, on the other hand, has a will that fluctuates though she does have powers, so probably no for her, then, as well.
Extra: Yuma's soul is inside of a jewel, and Kagome is a spiritually-powered schoolgirl who carries around pieces of conglomerate of solidified souls.

Date: 2011-10-04 09:55 pm (UTC)2) Hiei should be able to spy on him from a distance, but Hanekoma might notice the attempt if it requires "tuning in" to his presence or forming any kind of link with him.
He's an angel, so he'd probably read as "something completely different" -- he has extremely high levels of spirit energy, but it's naturally of a different frequency than that of a living human.
